The Windows Are Gone is a touching psychological horror game where you move into a house that you keep seeing in your dreams.
Created by Scary Cube (creator of the excellent The Building 71 Incident), in The Windows Are Gone you are a grieving widower who has been plagued by dreams of a mysterious house. After becoming obsessed with the house you managed to track it down and purchase it. You then turn up with a moving truck with a lot of stuff to (physically and emotionally) unpack.
Taking around an hour to play through, it’s a well crafted slow burn horror game with beautiful visuals and chilling horror that has real emotional weight. There are plenty of games about dealing with the loss of a loved one, but it’s rare that the storytelling is as good as in The Windows Are Gone. A house moving horror game that will move you. Highly recommended.
