OVERGAME is a very funny little meta 4th wall-breaking game which claims to deliver “the most adaptive experience ever made”, as the game devs design the perfect game for you while you play.
Created for the Community Gam Jam, OVERGAME sees you using the mouse to control a cute looking little pixel art character while the “devs” attempt to design the perfect game for you based on your interactions. Along the way you’ll make choices, like selecting what type of gamer you are and what your favorite game is. Obviously the devs aren’t really tailoring the game live based on your choices, but your answers will have some very funny and unexpected effects nonetheless, and things really get crazy when things start to go off the rails…
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, OVERGAME really impresses with it’s fun premise, excellent pixel art animation, great voice work and hilarious surprises. It may not actually be “the most adaptive experience ever made” but it it a whole lot of fun. Highly recommended.
