Guardian Sphere is a beautifully animated vertically scrolling shoot ‘em up adventure where you spend your health points to purchase upgrades as you fend off an alien invasion.
Playable in single-player or local co-op, Guardian Sphere is a fun vertically scrolling shoot ‘em up where you fight your way through five alien-filled levels to save your planet from an alien attack. There are eight different characters to choose from and lots of stackable upgrades that you can purchase from shops along the way. However, you pay for upgrades with Spheres, which are also your health (lose all of them and it’s game over), so you need to be careful not to overspend and leave yourself vulnerable to attack.
Taking around 30 minutes to play through, it’s a cheerful and charming little shoot ‘em up with easily accessible arcade gameplay, challenging bosses and beautifully animated visuals that are packed full of character. Perfect for a bit of old school vertically scrolling arcade fun.
